The arrival of this most potent DB9 to date sees the British luxury sports car maker significantly enrich the appeal of its mainstay in the GT sector.

Press ReleaseĪston Martin is revealing full details of the timeless new DB9 – the British brand’s iconic sports GT car. Main options include exterior and interior carbon packs, lightweight seats and a 1000-watt Bang & Olufsen BeoSound audio system. The new model has many new features such as updated body panels, the updated AM11 V12 from the Vanquish and Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes. Spare trim pieces, a tire inflation kit, an umbrella, a battery tender, and manufacturer’s literature and accessories are included in the sale.In 2013 Aston Martin updated the DB9 for the second major time since the model’s inception in 2004. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed ZF 6HP automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Work completed in July 2022 reportedly included an oil change and power steering fluid flush. The 5.9-liter DOHC V12 was factory rated at 450 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.
The digital odometer indicates 29k miles, approximately 1k of which were added during current ownership. The ZF six-speed automatic gearbox is controlled via buttons located on the dashboard below the central air vents and can also be shifted manually through steering wheel-mounted paddles. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The seller notes that the retractable infotainment screen intermittently does not fully deploy. Amenities include a navigation system, a CD stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Wood trim adorns the upper center stack and doors, and spare trim pieces are included in the sale. The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats trimmed in Obsidian Black leather along with a matching dashboard, center console, and doors. Braking is handled by four-wheel slotted and ventilated rotors. The 20″ AXE wheels are mounted with Nitto Motivo tires measuring 245/35 up front and 295/30 out back. This example is finished in Meteorite Silver with a black soft top and features xenon headlights, a Tungsten grille, hood vents, fender vents with integrated side markers, rear parking sensors, and dual exhaust outlets. The DB9 featured a mix of aluminum and composite body panels installed over an extruded aluminum spaceframe. This DB9 Volante is now offered with manufacturer’s literature and accessories, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s wife’s name. The seller acquired the car in July 2021 and has since added approximately 1k of the 29k indicated miles. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 20″ AXE wheels, a black soft top, xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, heated power-adjustable seats, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This 2006 Aston Martin DB9 Volante is powered by a 5.9-liter V12 paired with a six-speed automatic transaxle and is finished in Meteorite Silver over Obsidian Black leather.
